The shields and masks we all have to wear are here to protect us and to save us from harm. But there is a point when our true core needs to come out.
We long to be in the open and not be afraid to sometimes even be able to show our dirty laundry. This is no excuse to be rude or selfish. It is just that part inside of us, eager to breathe the fresh air and to feel the warmth of the sunlight.
In those moments, who cares for what is proper? What we really want is to be real, simple and perhaps not even care if it is wrinkled.
This photo was taken on top of El Micalet in Valencia, Spain in June 2011.
